Honeymoon

During our honeymoon we draw dreamy plans about the purchase of a property abroad. Back home these initial thoughts never left our minds.

Genetics

Having successfully completed a many years’ restauration project of an ancient forge in the center of the medieval city of Ghent, it’s time to start a new challenge. New challenges, as well as the ability not to be able to live without it, are genetically innate. That’s a certainty. For years we dedicated all of our spare time to the renovation of our house. Upon completion, satisfaction is overwhelming. This is our biggest mainspring to take these steps.

The forgotten department

The barn we eventually bought is located in the department of the Lot, Southwest-France. The Lot has been known for many years for its renowned culinary regional products. The area is distinguished by its rough gorges, wild rivers, medieval towns, pilgrimage places and castles. A resident barn owl imposed its name to our future chambre d’hôtes, Ozibou.

Planning

Upcoming years will be marked again by breaking and lugging. However, more than once we will loosen reins and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The progress of our plans and activities can be followed using our frequently updated diary. Do not hesitate to leave a message in our guestbook.
